New President and Vice President Interview

What is the biggest change that you plan on making this year, and how do you plan to do it?

We want to build a stronger, more spirited community this year.  We hope to do this through a variety of events such as themed home games, fun Friday assemblies, and our usual after school events.

What are some things that students can expect from you guys this year?

Energy: We know that in order to build this community, we need to show our school spirit, as well and ensure that all students feel at home and welcome like we do here.

Commitment: We want to show our love for this school and community by attending and organizing as many events as we can.

What contributions would you like to see the student body make this upcoming school year?

School spirit!  Last year, we were fortunate enough to have a lot of school spirit at the basketball games and we would like to use this momentum to raise attendance at other arts and sports events.

What is the best advice that you have received about representing our school from past SGA leaders and teachers?

Make sure you have the morning quote!

It’s a lot of work, but it’s definitely worth it.

What song best describes your hopes for this school year?

“Party in the USA” or “Don’t Stop Believin'”

If our school was to be featured on a reality tv show, what would the show be called?

“What’s a Griffin? The Game Show”

At the end of the year, what do you want students to remember most?

We want people to remember that this is an inclusive community that encourages school spirit and support.
